What we value most

World Values Day, held every October, is a chance for organisations around the world to talk about the values they stand for. Here’s how the team at Tektum stand up for our values day in and day out.
“Just a few weeks after we established Tektum Supplies Ltd, the whole world turned upside down due to the pandemic,” reports Managing Director Mike Saini, “so it was important for us to set out our stall and let people know who they were dealing with while supply chains were going through so much change.”
While the team at Tektum are among the most experienced in the industry, coming together to form Tektum offered a clean slate and a chance to build a fresh company culture.
“We decided on what was important to us,” says Mike, “and since then we’ve embedded those values into how we work with our customers, our suppliers and each other.”
The team identified four key values for the new company: honesty, value, quality and fun.
Honesty is a fundamental value and it would be easy for most companies to say they believe in being truthful. But at Tektum, our commitment to honesty goes beyond making sure our adverts aren’t misleading – we’re determined to be a trusted partner. That means that even if we have bad news to share, such as a delayed delivery, you can count on us to share it in a timely and clear way. We know that being up front will not only help people adapt their plans where necessary, it’s a requirement for building the type of win-win relationships we want to have with our customers, suppliers and partners.
When it comes to value, we know that our combined decades of industry experience can make a huge difference to those we’re working with, and we’re always on hand to share advice and best practice. We want to bring you the best, so we also keep our eyes open to new products, new connections and new ways of working to serve you better.
